When I was a PhD student at Colorado State university in 1978, I read his book on animal behavior as our textbook. Since that time, I have read all subsequent editions and succeeded in translating the last edition to farsi (Persian). I once contacted him to receive his permission in translating the book. His book is excellent and I have always enjoyed reading it and using it as a textbook.
May I cite one of Omar Khayam's poems:
My coming was not of my own design
And one day I must go, and no choice of mine
Come light-handed cupbearer, gird thee to serve
We must wash done the care of this world with wine.professor Mahmoud Karami, Tehran University, Iran
